Apiary!

 

 

Years ago we had a small apiary on our property in Greenfield.  It was next to a patch of blueberries and raspberries.  The bees were an amazing addition to the garden.  We would probably still have the apiary had it not been for the endeavors of a black bear.  He decided to treat the hives like bowling pins and he was the bowler.

 

We have a lot of things going on in 2018 but our goal is to install some electric fencing and again purchase some packages of bees in the spring of 2019.  Hopefully the fence will keep Mr. Bear from paying a visit.  

 

We hope to offer honey in the fall of 2020.
